The 1938 Dangerous Drugs Ordinance's savings clause kept in force proclamations, orders in council and regulations made under the Drugs and Poisons Ordinance 1926 and the Exports and Imports Control Ordinance 1920, so far as consistent with the new Ordinance. The 1926 Ordinance is the earliest identified general drug-control statute behind Fiji's 1938 consolidation; its cannabis-specific content has not been traced.[1]
