Mohamed Aden Darar received six months in prison and a three-year residence ban for possessing and selling cannabis. A later administrative order barred him from the Djibouti district and the Obock and Tadjourah circles after his release in January 1972. The case followed the local publication of France's revised drug law in February 1971.[1]
