Hemp 🇲🇵 Northern Mariana Islands

Northern Mariana Islands move hemp oversight to agriculture officials

A new hemp law put production under the Division of Agriculture and removed hemp from the cannabis commission’s remit. It used a 0.3% THC ceiling and required licensing rules consistent with the federal hemp framework, following the US farm law passed in 2018. Negligent breaches generally led to a correction plan; wilful violations could bring up to a year in prison, a $2,500 fine, or both.[1]
