Nova Scotia raises fines for buying and selling outside its legal cannabis market

Provincial amendments and supporting regulations came into force. Buying outside the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation carries a C$600–5,000 fine; unlawful individual sales carry C$5,000–25,000 and business sales C$15,000–50,000. New offences target advertising illegal sales and landlords allowing sales on their property. The changes do not prohibit lawful adult possession or home cultivation.[1]
