Canada publishes expanded guidance distinguishing edibles from extracts

Health Canada announced that its compliance statement now included the ingestible-product classification policy shared with licence holders in December 2023. Products represented for mixing with food or drinks are treated as edibles, with a 10 mg THC limit per immediate container, rather than extracts with a 1,000 mg limit. This is commercial classification guidance under existing regulations, not a new ban on cooking at home.[1][2]
