A Road Town magistrate fined a visitor $5,000 for possessing 15.2 g of cannabis brought from the US Virgin Islands, with six months in prison if he failed to pay immediately.[1] He admitted the offence after customs officers found two packets in his luggage at the West End ferry dock.[1] The magistrate considered his cooperation, guilty plea and lack of previous convictions.[1]
