Tightening 🇧🇷 Brazil

Brazil confirms that users are punished like traffickers

Law 5.726, passed under President Médici, reaffirmed the rule of the 1968 decree-law that a person holding a drug for their own use faced the same penalty as a dealer. The rule was reversed only in 1976, when the Lei dos Tóxicos separated the two: three to fifteen years for trafficking, six months to two years of detention for users.[1]
