Voters on Caye Caulker were asked whether the government should legislate for a regulated cannabis industry, with part of the revenue kept for the island. A majority said no. Supporters had pointed to money for schools, health care and tourism jobs; the 'Hope Not Dope' campaign opposed it.[1]
