description

In JulyBrunei’s order of 25 June 1992 themade death penalty was extended to cover possession ofmandatory for trafficking, importing or exporting more than 200 grams500 g of cannabis or opium200 g of cannabis resin, according to Reuters news agency as cited by Amnesty International. The current schedule sets death above 500and for possessing more than 600 g of cannabis or 300 g of resin for trafficking. It did not create a 200 g cannabis threshold; that figure is the resin line. The 15 g cannabis and above 60010 g for possession forresin presumptions of trafficking already existed, soand the 1992 figure should not be read as the present thresholdorder applied to offences after commencement.
