San Marino's passes its narcotics law does not name cannabis
Law No. 7 of 23 February 1956 gave San Marino a narcotics law built on the 1931 limitation convention. A 1973 United States government report notedsurvey reported that the 1956 law does not specifically include cannabis in its drug list of narcotic drugs, which is based on the 1931 convention, though it refersdid not name cannabis but pointed to other decrees that probably docovered it; illicit possession, use, import, export or trafficking drew three to eight years in prison plus a fine.[@1] A 1988 narcotics law confirmed the statute's identity by annulling part of its article 6.[@2]
