EU-listed hemp varieties with no more than 0.3% THC may be grown for agriculture.[@ravim] CBD may be extracted from compliant hemp, but any narcotic THC obtained during extraction remainsis limited to legally authorised purposes because it produces controlled THC as a by-product.[@ravim]
