Budapest marches for weed: the Two-Tailed Dog Party's Million Marijuana March gathered at Madách Square on 20 April 2025, days after parliament wrote zero tolerance of drugs into the constitution; police banned it, but the Curia overturned the ban because the event predated the amendment.[@euronews25] Co-chair Zsuzsanna Döme argued alcohol and designer drugs cause far greater social harm, yet marijuana use by young people stays criminal.[@euronews25] The march joined the [420](/culture/language/420/) tradition of 20 April cannabis gatherings.[@euronews25] [Hungary's top court let a cannabis rally go ahead in 2025.](/history/hungary-420-rally-2025/) [Hungary wrote a drug ban into its constitution in 2025.](/history/hungary-constitutional-amendment-2025/)
