Tightening 🇻🇨 Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Saint Vincent raises cannabis penalties to cocaine levels

According to a defence lawyer speaking in court in 2020, a 2008 amendment lifted the maximum for possession and trafficking of cannabis from three years and EC$100,000 to seven years and EC$500,000, the same as for Class A drugs. He added that the old EC$1,000 fine for a single seed disappeared in the same amendment.[1]
