Pakistan's narcotics board describes who uses cannabis

A report by the Pakistan Narcotics Control Board said drug use had been largely stable from the 1950s to the 1970s, with opium and cannabis the common drugs, but that cannabis use had risen among middle-class young people in the late 1960s and early 1970s under the influence of Western pop culture. Four years earlier a prohibition order had closed the licensed shops.[1]
