Moldova adopts a government framework for drug-quantity classifications

Government Decision 79 adopted lists of controlled drugs and plants found in illicit circulation, together with quantities distinguishing small, large and particularly large amounts. These classifications helped determine whether conduct attracted contraventional or criminal liability and the applicable punishment. The Constitutional Court later confirmed the decision's adoption date and role in the statutory scheme. This entry records adoption, rather than a separately verified commencement date, and does not backdate later numerical thresholds.[1]
