The National Agency for Drug Control held public consultations from 8 to 12 June 2026 and was to report at the end of July on the legal framework, medical use, industrial hemp and support for users. L'Express reported that the recommendations were expected to centre on changes to the Drug Users Administrative Panel, the diversion scheme created in 2022, not on wider legalisation. Critics said the law sets no quantity separating a user from a trafficker. The report was delivered in September.[1]
