A law of 7 December 1927 authorised the government to ratify the second Opium Convention, signed in Geneva in 1925, which put the international trade in Indian hemp under import and export control. Luxembourg's own rules on dangerous drugs, made under its 1922 law on medicines and toxic substances, still listed only coca, cocaine, opium, morphine and heroin; Indian hemp was added in 1953.[1][2]
