Israel begins to permit cannabis for patients

In the early 1990s cannabis was allowed case by case for people with cancer and painful illnesses, the beginning of what became a national programme. In 2004 the army started an experimental treatment of soldiers' post-traumatic stress with THC. By 2012 about 10,000 patients were registered, and by 2017 about 26,000.[1]
