Gino Kenny introduced a bill to legalise personal use and possession of up to seven grams of cannabis. In December the parliamentary Joint Committee on Justice recommended decriminalising drugs for personal use, and in February 2023 the government agreed to call a Citizens' Assembly on drug use.[1]
