Tightening 🇬🇭 Ghana

Ghana's Supreme Court strikes down the cannabis licensing clause

By four votes to three the court declared section 43 of the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2020 null and void. The section let the minister license cannabis with no more than 0.3% THC for fibre, seed or medicine. In a case brought by Ezuame Mannan, the court held that Parliament had not followed the constitution's procedure for passing bills.[1]
