Gabon prosecutors burn seized cannabis and other drugs in Libreville

Libreville prosecutors destroyed three truckloads of seized drugs, including cannabis, in the presence of Justice Minister Augustin Emane. The ministry valued the combined haul at nearly five billion CFA francs and said the operation aimed to prevent seized drugs from returning to sale. The Penal Code requires confiscation and destruction of drugs seized in the offences covered by its drug provisions.[1][2]
