Gabon's replacement Penal Code retained the 2019 distinction between illicit use, general possession and direct supply for another person's consumption. It kept up to a year for use, the ten-year general possession term and the option of treatment instead of the use penalty. The law replaced the previous code and renumbered the drug provisions.[1][2]
