Premier André Ebanks told Parliament that small-scale cannabis reform would be referred to the Law Reform Commission after voters backed decriminalisation.[1] He asked for recommendations on possession limits, administrative penalties, enforcement, international obligations and the protection of vulnerable people.[1] The commission’s later discussion paper dates Cabinet’s referral to the same day and opened those questions to public consultation in July 2026.[2]
