Debate 🇧🇮 Burundi

A US congressional report records Burundi's rarely enforced cannabis ban

Testimony compiled for the House Select Committee on Narcotics Abuse and Control notes that cannabis in Burundi is illegal, with cultivation, transport or possession punishable by fines of 100 to 100,000 francs, though rarely enforced. It adds that older and poorer Burundians sometimes call the plant *chanvre à fumer*.[1][2]
