The transitional assembly adopts a replacement Penal Code unanimously, 71 votes to none: more than 900 articles in nine books. It lowers prison terms and raises fines for some offences, re-criminalises press offences, and restores the death penalty and its execution procedure for certain offences.[1] What the new code's drug articles say about cannabis has not been reviewed; the penalties cited on this site are still the 2018 ones.
