Austria brings the Geneva Opium Convention into its law

Index score

10011

−89 points

Austria published the 1925 Geneva convention, the first treaty to put Indian hemp under control, as Federal Law Gazette No. 244/1928. The 1946 Narcotics Act names it as one of the treaties that define which substances Austrian law restricts. The domestic rules made in 1928 were not read, so the size of this first step is uncertain.[1]
