# Research pass: Tanganyika 1935 consolidation article from UN filing

Research checked on 26 October 2026. The already-cited Tanganyika 1935
entry gains a properly-sourced article from the full ordinance text read in
E/NL.1952/74-83 (67 pp. bundle, Tanganyika section at chapter 95). No
scores, profiles, timelines or entries changed.

## What was verified (all sources actually read)

- UN E/NL.1952/74 (11 September 1952, via the Digital Library nanna file
  endpoint; documents.un.org returned an app page for this symbol):
  Tanganyika Dangerous Drugs Ordinance No. 28 of 1935 (12 July 1935),
  Revised Edition 1947 ch. 95. Read: consolidation title; s. 2 Indian hemp
  definition (dried flowering/fruiting tops, resin unextracted, whatever
  name); Part IV ss. 7–8 (resin import/export ban; resin/preparation
  dealing, whole-plant dealing, cultivation offences; transit excepted;
  medicinal preparations excepted); Part V cocaine/morphine rule-making;
  s. 23 penalties (High Court 20,000 shillings/10 years with or without
  hard labour; subordinate first-class 5,000/12 months; forfeiture +
  destruction). New `articles/tanganyika-dangerous-drugs-ordinance-1935.md`
  (~330w body, 4 sections, single law source).
- The entry `tanganyika-dangerous-drugs-ordinance-1935` is untouched: its
  per-sentence [@1]/[@2] citations already cover the same facts, including
  the 1926/1995 points the filing does not show.

Claim boundaries: one mid-draft cut — a sentence about the 1926 ordinance
surviving alongside until the 1995 repeal was removed from the article
because it belongs to the entry's second source, which was not re-read.
The article stays inside the filing.

## Dead ends and parks recorded, not forced

- Kazakhstan 1934 article skipped: the Uzbek 1934 piece already covers the
  decree in depth and names Kazakhstan as covered; a Kazakh piece without a
  republic-specific source would duplicate it.
- British Honduras 1948 amendment (E/NL.1949/16-17) pulled and confirmed
  procedural-only (see Aden note); Belize still rests on the 1947 order.

## Verification and files

- No changes.yaml edit in this batch (article only); YAML untouched.
- `npm run build`, `npm run history:test`, `npm run answers:test` green;
  rendered `/history/tanganyika-dangerous-drugs-ordinance-1935/` citation
  marks checked.
- Commit limited to own work: the new article and this note, via pathspec.
  Foreign staged/worktree files excluded and preserved.
