summaryUsable marijuana is limited to 2 oz in public and 8 oz at homeper household; fourextracts have a separate 1 oz limit and licensed-source requirement. Four plants per household. An adult may give up to 1 ozAdult gifts of usable marijuana are limited to 1 oz at a time without payment. Licensed shops since 2015.
segments › possessionAdults 21+ may possess up to 2 oz of usable marijuana in public and; the home exemption covers 8 oz at homeper household. Other household allowances are 16 oz of solid cannabinoid products, 72 oz of liquid products and 16 oz of cannabinoid concentrates. Cannabinoid extracts have a separate 1 oz household allowance and must come from a licensed retailer or an authorised medical-dispensary transfer; medical exceptions have separate conditions.[@2,4] The legal category depends on production method: mechanical and specified non-hydrocarbon processes generally produce concentrates; hydrocarbons or high-heat/high-pressure carbon dioxide produce extracts. A product nickname alone does not establish its category.[@5]
segments › enforcementNothing withinProduct, quantity and source determine the offence outside the exemptions. Section 475C.337 provides a Class B violation through twice the specified quantity limits and a Class B misdemeanour above twice through four times those limits, with separate felony clauses. Possessing an extract not bought from a licensed retailer is independently restricted; subsection (3)(c)(C) expressly lists more than one-quarter ounce of such extract as a Class C felony. Applicable medical authorisation and the other statutory exceptions matter.[@4]
segments › sharingA person 21 or older may give another person 21 or older, without payment, up to 1 ounce o … f a solid cannabinoid product, 72 ounces of a liquid product, or 16 ounces of concentrate.[@2] That concentrate permission does not include cannabinoid extracts; section 475C.305 gives no matching ordinary adult extract-gift exemption. Giving more than 1 ounce of usable marijuana, and not more than 2 ounces, without payment to another adult is a Class B misdemeanour.[@2,3]

The statute applies Commission product equivalence to ordinary possession and gifts. The numerical conversion reviewed directly governs retail licensees, so the text scopes it to retail rather than inventing an independently verified private-gift formula. Gifts require adult 21+ parties, no remuneration and no public advertising/promotion. Retained ten ounces at home plus lawful on-premises harvest. No existing April-2026 Massachusetts history entry was found to correct; no new score event is inferred.

+## #217 — Oregon extract source and product categories
+
+Read ORS §§475C.009, .305, .337 and .345 in the official chapter/Justia reproductions. Checked the Legislature's [2026 amendment/repeal table](https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2026OrLawAR.pdf), printed T4: it lists other chapter 475C amendments but none to these four sections. Section .305 household exemptions distinguish 16 oz concentrates from 1 oz extracts, with licensed-retailer or authorised medical-dispensary provenance for extracts. Extraction method controls statutory category; product nicknames alone are insufficient. Solid products 16 oz and liquids 72 oz are also included.
+
+Section .337(1)(g) separately restricts extract not bought from a licensed retailer; (3)(c)(C) expressly lists more than one-quarter ounce of such extract as Class C felony. Preserve medical/other authorisations and do not present this as a universal hash/rosin penalty. Ordinary .305 noncommercial gift permissions list concentrates but no corresponding extract allowance; .345 supplies the delivery offence exceptions. Preserved the previous correction: a usable-marijuana gift above 1 oz through 2 oz is Class B misdemeanor. Carry/caught answers corrected; scores and history unchanged.
