New 350-word article on Nepal's 1961 cannabis licensing: verified
against Sean Williams' Harper's/Longreads report (Freak Street
shops, menus, temple balls) and the Nepal history (licensed
agents, 1973 US-pressured licence cancellation, revenue loss,
1976 Act with medical exception). Entry gains per-sentence
citations. No scores or timelines changed. history:test 40/40,
answers:test 39/39, full build passes. Index contains only this
pass.
See docs/research/history-nepal-1961-2026-10-26.md.
Nepal began licensing and taxing the sale of cannabis, and licensed shops in Kathmandu, along Freak Street above all, became famous on the hippie trail.[@1,2] The trade lasted until the king revoked every licence in 1973 under pressure from the United States; personal cultivation and use were unaffected, and the commerce continued illicitly.[@2]

+## Process note
+
+The first build of this article failed content validation: `type: article`

+`type:` line was dropped (type is optional). Press/magazine pieces should
+omit `type` rather than invent one.
